Nerissa, aka Neezy, is first and foremost a mother, and second, a barber. She is Red Seal certified since 2008.
Nerissa was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to Edmonton, Alberta in 20112. In her early 20's she had planned to become a welder but pursued a career in the hair industry back in 2005. Nerissa had many amazing mentors during her apprenticeship. She was introduced to barbering early on in her career by one of her mentors and has been passionate about it ever since and is continually inspired by this trade. Since there weren't many barbers when she started out, she would research, study and practice anything she could find about it.
Barbering has given Nerissa the opportunity to express and create men's haircuts in the art of shaving, develop long-lasting fellowships. She has developed deep relationships and trust with her clients. She has been blessed to be able to travel, meet amazing people, and provide for her family with something she loves to do.
