| Lonny grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a child he always hated getting haircuts, but as he grew to become a teenager he always wanted to “stay fresh” and LOVED hair designs. Unfortunately, Lonny's mom could not afford for him to get them as often as he would’ve liked. So, at 13 years old Lonny started attempting to give himself fades and designs. He would watch YouTube videos on all kinds of different barbering techniques. About 3 years later Lonny got good enough to where hisfriends began asking Lonny to cut their hair. Lonny got into his first barbershop, Catch a Look, when he was 16. and that’s how Lonny's journey as a barber began.
Lonny specializes in afros, bald fades, tapers/temp fades, lineups/beards, & designs(hero’s, logos,freestyle/graffiti, tribals), faded longer hairstyles (slickbacks, combovers, pompadour) Lonny loves his craft, he can’t see himself working another profession. Lonny loves making people happy, and look good. Seing that smile at the end of the cut and being the reason for it just feels great for Lonny. Being a barber has taught me many things and showed many more, it’s created friendships and business deals, it’s opened doors for great opportunities and everyday is different than the last. |
